Guinea Pig nails can be extremely hard to clip or extremely easy. It all depends on how tame your guinea pig is really. When I first got my guinea pigs I got so frustrated while clipping their nails because it took forever and they squirmed all over. Basically the easiest way to clip their nails is to be under a light (so you can see the quick) and have someone hold your guinea pig while you carefully clip the nails. I clip my guinea pigs nails with a regular human nail clipper. And for your second question this is totally normal. No need to worry. We call this action, "popcorning" and excited guinea pig will do this. so basically your guinea pig is excited that you let it out of the cage.

What's the best way to handle where the bathroom wall and floor meet? I know you can do tile to tile, but how about where a stone tile floor and drywall or backerboard for the wall meet? Of course I'll grout, then seal the grout and then run clear silicone along the grout line to prevent leakage, correct? Can I put wainscotting and trim on a stone tile floor? Organizing deep kitchen drawers?

I have two kitchen drawers that are very deep (probably the depth of two and a half silverware drawers)! One of the drawers is fine because it is where I keep towels, dish cloths, aprons, etc. The other one is a complete disaster. It is where I keep all of my utensils (spatulas, spoons, wooden spoons, potato mashers, etc) The drawer is so deep there are truly no adjustable organizers I could put in them but the organization of the drawer drives me crazy because there is none. Everything is just thrown in this drawer to the top and I have to search for things. Does anyone have any organizational ideas for these deep drawers for large kitchen utensils?

After this she started to have frequency again, and blood in her urine. I took her back again today, and he feels she is just forming crystals. He put her on cefa drops 1 time a day, and suggested prescription food, which I will be trying, wet and dry. I am concerned as I see there is corn meal in the dry food. I have been feeding Eagle Pack Holistic Select, as the dry food and Fancy Feast as the wet food. Is there anything else that i could be feeding her for this condition? If she doesn't improve, he suggested a sonogram,and a urisis where they sedate her, and go into the bladder. Any other ideas anyone might have would be appreciated. Why do many places in Upstate NY continue to take sharp population declines?

It is still a lack of decent jobs. Also, I can't think of any recreation activities to do in Upstate New York (except for Lake George and the Great Escape). They don't promote recreation places that would generate money. A third reason is bad winters. Since 2000, New York has had some very cold and snowy winters. Some of the areas near PA got steady snow for 3 weeks in a row. They were trapped in their houses. They couldn't get snow plows into some of those towns.

Two of our cats seem to enjoy the smell of my dog's fur. One in particular reacts to it as though it were a catnip toy. After I brush the dog, she goes after the fur-filled comb or the lumps of fur lying on the floor. She plays with it, rolls on it, chews on it, and goes absolutely wild. She rarely acts like that when given catnip. "Fresh" hair incites a stronger reaction. Can anyone offer an explanation?

Okay I'm not a player at all and I'm not going out with any girl just so everyone knows. I am feeding her two slivers of alfalfa hay in the morning and at night. Normally I would feed one leaf but the bales that I have now have very small (3 inches wide) slivers. I have been told that it can cause difficulties in conceiving but I got pregnant on birth control, there really was no problem there lol. From what I was told by my doctor, RhoGam is used as a preventative measure. Your body COULD view any subsequent babies as a parisite, but it doesn't mean it WILL. I wouldn't stress too much about it- as long as you have a doctor you trust, should you decide to have another baby, they can help you with any concerns you may have.

Mother in law hell and grandchildren?

When I fell pregnant I was extremely unwell with hyperemisis which is excessive sickness and failed to do anything to ist. I was in bed for 10 weeks and sick till my twins arrived. �I was then told that I was putting my twins at risk of going into a coma by feeding them as they were not being fed enough milk. She saw me drag myself from a sofa to make her a cup of tea after I had just had a csection. I was then put in hospital with an internal bleed and she attempted to take the twins home with her 70 miles from me when all I wanted was to see them. She then made it hell by trying to wake my twins up when I was trying to get them into a routine she used to speak loudly and pull blankets off of them. She announced that I was giving my daughter colic with that ' stuff' and informed me that she never thought I was the one for her son. She then came to their christening and left early and cried when I gave my mum some flowers as it embarred her in front of her friends that she didn't get any grrrr. One of my twins didn't take to a bottle so she took one out of my bag which was my other twins expressed milk and tried force feeding her. They have just had their first birthday and she came didn't say a word to me but slagged me off to my friends. Oh and on their 1st christmas I was moaned at for only spending 4 hours at their house that's not including the 2 hours journey there and Back and the fact I had just come out of hospital. And to top it off I made it quite clear I was buying their first Xmas outfits. Something I was really looking forward to after my time being in hospital and guess what yep she brought them outfits! How to help my son find motivation?

My son is a senior in high school. His grades are pretty bad. Teachers say he doesn't try enough, doesn't turn homework on time. We tried everything - therapy, diagnosing a learning disability (none found). He told me that he will go to community college next year and therefore we should leave him alone. He supposedly is looking for a job, but in my mind not aggressively enough. Spends a lot of time at the computer, although we tried to limit his time. I would like some feedback from mothers who were in the same situation and their children improved with time. Otherwise he is polite, helps at home, cares for his siblings, does not abuse curfew, doesn't smoke or stay very late with friends partying, etc. He just seems unmotivated to do anything society would consider meaningful - like studying, reading books or working. Am I too demanding? What really works in this situation?

I hate the new trend of making boys names, girls names! So many people are naming there girls names that used to be only labeled a boys names. How to get rid of crackly voice?

I personally love to sing and I have a high tenor voice. But due to my allergies and post-nasal drip syndrome, my voice tends to get very crackly and buzzy from phlegm buildup in my throat. What kind of flies do trout like?

Thats a big question my friend, and has many different answers. Trout in particular are fussy about everything from type of fly, color, and location. The five best flies that i have found to work any place i go are stereotypical, because they can match any hatch. The first thing you want to get is an caddis, preferably an elk haird caddis, they float high and are easy to see and replicate alot of bugs. you can never go wrong with a parachute adams, a royal wolf, or a terrestrail, like a hopper or an ant. The altime best fly though is whatever matches the bugs you see over the water. If you really want to slay some fish and find them fast. Use 4 pound test atleast where your fly meets your leader (tippet) and after tying the dry fly, sink a prince nymph or pheasant tail nymph by tying a line from the dry flies hook to the numph, about 2 feet down. when a fish takes the nymph your dry fly will stop, its easier than a bobber. It never hurts to throw a wooly bugger around either. The best thing to do is go to your local fishing shop and ask about what is hatching, because if you match the hatch, you catch fish...period. I believe this dream was about my Nana and an Aunt that I haven't seen in almost 10 years. My Nana ped away in 2004, she had Dementia and was in a nursing home. This Aunt is my Mom's sister and she started to develop Alzheimer's a few years before my Nana ped away. For some unknown reason, my Aunt's daughters (my cousins) would no longer allow my mom and other aunt to see her or be in touch with her. These are her sisters! So we have had no contact with my aunt or cousins for a really long time. In the dream, my aunt wasn't sick anymore. We were in a living room or something then suddenly I was standing on a busy dock where there was a small boat. What an interesting question that gets more complex as you think about it. I don't know that one has to be intelligent to recognize intelligence in others. I certainly can tell when I am dealing with someone who is much sharper than I in certain areas. What I do think is that it takes an educated and informed person to appreciate the manifestations of intelligence such as those you gave in your example. Someone who knows nothing about the finer points of rhetoric, syntax, effective language, etc. wouldn't recognize the effort the writer expended to create such a piece. That said, most humans can learn to recognized those attributes if they choose to do so. As a school teacher, I try to teach my students to write well and to recognize fine writing when they see it. Those who open their minds to this knowledge certainly can appreciate those skills when they find them. The good news is that while an extraordinarily intelligent person might identify these traits more quickly, students of average intelligence will eventually learn to recognize those same traits after enough exposure. We must never give up on ourselves or others. We are more capable than we realize.

I heard them complain last year, and now this year too. Its like one game should only be on one system to have great quality. That is dumb thinking. When people talk about these games on 360 they say its going to need 13 or 15 discs, this is an exaggeration, a single layer blu ray disc holds 25GBs of data, a dvd holds 8 or 9GBs of data on a dual layer disc, it would require 3-4 discs for a game that on bluray is single layer if it uses all that data. For dual layer which is 50GBs I believe about 5-6 discs. I hear fanboys complain or mock about it (final fantasy) having to be on multiple discs, but Final Fantasy VI (7) was on 3 discs, VII (8) was on 4 and IX (9) was on 4 on the original playstation. Now I am not an Xbox Fanboy (Xbot), because I love both, but I prefer the 360 but the point is for both upcoming titles people are complaining. We have not even seen in game footage or any footage of Rising. I understand Xbots brag about these titles, but there is no need for either side to brag or complain about either, because they are not exclusive to either side. My mom said when I was a kid I used to write all my p's and d's and some other letters backwards. She said I probably had dyslexia but nobody ever diagnosed me with it or anything. I remember I used to write the letters that way because I didn't think it mattered which way they went lol, like I don't remember seeing them funny..I just chose to write them like that because I thought it didn't matter. This habit went away though. Years and years later ...(like 15 years later) I was looking at a sentence on the computer and was really tired and it read something like "Tor Enhwld sde yiwt uoh" ...like it made no sense...I thought it was just a link code thing or something in another language....but when I looked at it about 10 minutes later it said a normal english sentence. Somehow my brain had mixed up the letters...and I think some where backwards too...Could it be that I was just tired or was I really once dyslexic?
